Articles available online from old issues?

How about putting articles from old issues online. I would like to read the budget zoom lens review from issue 15, but it is not available in back issues (and has not been for many months). I am sure there are others that would like this.

You could do a subscribers area where we log in with our sub number (Linux Format does it this way) and can access PDFs of old articles.

Hi donoreo,

We have a mid to long-term plan for an area for subscribers on the site where this kind of thing will be possible.

In the meantime, there are a number of lens reviews in the reviews section which you might find helpful.

Thanks,

Amy

Thanks for the reply. I really wanted to see that review as it covers lenses that I am considering buying. Is there any chance of getting a copy? It is not available in any way that I can purchase it, and I would buy the issue if it were available, so there is no loss of revenue to Future. Perhaps poke Chris and ask if he has a suggestion.

I think we can do even better than an old test report.... We have just completed an updated of this group test - looking at all the current budget telephoto zooms for Canon D-SLRs.

It will be in our next issue, which goes on sale October 21st

That is great. Since I am a subscriber, I will get it in a few weeks.

I have to agree with donoreo, that online articles from back issues and even downloadable tutorials would be great. Although owning a 450D for over a year, it's only since discovering PhotoPlus a few weeks ago that I have started to appreciate its full potential through the easy to follow video tutorials and various articles.

Living in Sydney, although issues appear to be readily available in many outlets, do tend only to be available 2-3 months later ( I managed to pick-up the July issue last week), which is why I have recently subscribed directly. From what I have read on the other threads, back issues are rare and therefore I for one would greatly appreciate online previous issues/articles etc.

In the meantime, great work by all the team on a great magazine.

The Linux Format readers in Australia have the same complaint. Future seems to have problems getting magazines down there.
