Thanks Chris.

It was a reply to this thread: http://www.photoradar.com/forums/showthread.php?p=43975

It wasn't offensive, I promise!

There are no deleted posts in that thread. Seems more like faulty electrons. They probably went cheap and purchased some of those recycled ones. They are not reliable

Hmm, as Don said, there's no soft deleted posts. If you did have a thread post deleted it must have had a hard delete so I can't see it. Sorry!

Well, just because you are not paranoid it does not mean that you shouldn't be

Kudos.
I realise you're not having a go per se. Generally, it's not much of a chore moderating the forum as we rarely have to deal with anything other than spam. When we do, we're never going to please everyone. Personally, I try to keep things as open and visible as possible so that people can see what I've moderated, and why, while putting a definite end to any problems.

We can make mistakes though - I deleted what I thought was a spam post which it turned out was actually a PR run competition. Whoops!

Are Moderators the forum equivalent of PCSO's, and how many are there?

I suppose, in a way we are - although we've got more powers that you're average PCSO

There are 5 moderators in total, although in practice only 4 of us are active on the site.

We are:

ap4a
donoreo
Lurkalot
Hevans - not active on PR since early January
Chris-p

The Forum Leaders page shows you who all the mods, super mods (whatever that means) and admins are.

For myself, ap4a and donoreo, our member status doesn't show us as a moderator but Lurkalots does. This is to do with a grouping setting that only super mods and admins can change. It's not a covert attempt at moderation!

The super mods are:

Amy Davies
Anthony Grimley
Marcus Hawkins
Matt Pierce

Marcus is also listed as being an admin along with Thomas Watson

Yes, Chris, but that wasn't your fault.

It's been a long standing problem right from the DCMag days, the team don't tell us anything unless we ask, and then they don't bother sometimes (The email system is a bit hit or miss) That's why I asked for the team boards to be put up, which they did, but now we have a problem with them actually typing something in them.

I was a Mod in the mid-60s until I got my head punched. Clacton, I think it was. Should have had a Super-Mod with us I suppose.
