Members Photographs..

We enjoy viewing other members photographs, and the vast majority are excellent. It is also good to read what settings the camera was on when the shot was taken, but looking at the photograph we get the feeling that the end result is the merging of two or more shots. However if this is the case it is not mentioned on the write up.We use photomatix and enjoy our results, but would love to learn more through others, and giving this information would be a bonus to those who are just setting out in this great hobbie (thats us by the way). Our interest are landscape, Architecture, Macro..and anything else that passes by..

Best wishes

Angela/Alex.

You'll learn! This is a very friendly site and people are almost always prepared to explain things. However, don't ask in a 'comment' box as people are not always checking those. A PM is better, or ask the question on one of the forums.

Oh, and welcome!

Google " exif viewer" and look for one for whichever you use F/fox/ I.E. /Chrome, install it then you should be able to see all the settings, but sometimes people use "save for web " which doesn't add the Exif to picture. Just ask if you want to know anything further, dont forget the only stupid question is the one you dont ask.

Photomatix,

Buddy, Firstly pleased to meet you,We use HDR for Landscape and Architecture, and we like the results. But we do not go over the top it helps us to get a more pleasing result. You read a lot about getting to the location at the right time of day, sunrise/sunset etc, but unfortunately most of the time we cannot do this so HdR can assist in getting a more pleasing shot,we also check the histogram to make sure that the shots are within an acceptable range before we save them.Try it you have nothing to lose...

Best wishes

Angela/Alex.
