Can you even get a mains cord/adapter?

I know you can connect it to a battery pack for faster recycling, don't know about a mains adapter though

Sorry Garry it says a input for external power source ( what ever that means?) must be a power pack

That'll be the CP-E4 battery pack then, it takes 8 batteries rather than the 4 that the flash holds & gives you a faster recycling time.

Amazon have them at £144, you can get after-market ones cheaper, Amazon have one made by Pixel UK for £51 and Quantum make them but they are a few hundred quid, you buy a battery pack & a cable for your particular flashgun. I think they range from £200- £400 depending on how powerful you want your battery pack.

Or you could just get a load of NiMH rechargeables (high powered ones, maybe 2400 mAh plus) if you don't need superfast recycling times
