hello people, this may be an incredibly stupid question, but here it goes, when im shooting sunstets or low light, i shoot in manual mode, slowing the shutter speed to show the correct exposure, but when it gets to 30 secs it needs to go into bulb, i can generrally guess how long it needs, but is there a more accurate way of judging timings, as i now theres a better way then guessing, any help? hope this made sense,
You could calculate it by adjusting another exposure control and working it back to shutter speed.
Say you're shooting at ISO 100 or 200. You could increase the ISO to 1600 or 3200 and see what the metered shutter speed is. Then drop your ISO back down to whatever you want and dial in the appropriate shutter speed.
