Exclamation Scam warning

I’ve just received a couple of e-mails in my junk file which purport to be from DHL. They read as follows:-

Dear customer!

The parcel was send your home address.

And it will arrice within 7 bussness day.

More information and the tracking number

are attached in document below.

Thank you.

2011 DHL International GmbH. All rights reserverd.

There is also a zip file attached called tracking.zip which I would suspect has some sort of spyware in it that may put your computer at risk and the only tracking that it is likely to do is of your activity. I know that none of you are daft enough to open this file but a little warning never goes amiss.

thanks for the heads up, there is an awful lot going around at the moment including one on facebook!, a private chat message will appear from a friend containting a link saying the like a picture of yours, once clicked the link can download a virus, and the same old BT and British Gas scams asking for account numbers and details are doing the rounds once again,

Got this one myself! I never cease to be amazed by these scammers. They really ought to take lessons in English Grammar. And then they should check their spelling. It's a dead giveaway, isn't it?

The sad thing is the amount of people who get drawn into these scams & end up sometimes losing their life savings.

Some of them deserve it, the're just stupid & greedy, but many are just sad & vulnerable.

I'm not on Facebook, so even if I get a message from, say, Sarah (my daughter's name and she has a Facebook account) I know it's a scam.

I had the parcel ones around Christmas, when Royal Mail wasn't delivering because of the weather and the courier firms were working as normal. That was very clever of the scammers, I thought.

I also had a deluge of so called 'E-cards' at the time, also very seasonal.

'Amazon' is sending me constant emails, but not to the address I use for deals with them.

And at the moment I get emails offering Adobe software.

And of course there are the usual requests for help to get millions out of certain countries. I love the ones purporting to come from barristers that open with: "Hello Dear"!

And the offers to 'increase my manhood,' have been coming in for years now. Often backed by a 'money back guarantee'!

Thank goodness they all immediately disappear into the 'Junk' folder.

In Hotmail, you can read the message without opening it by right-clicking the message and then going to 'source code.' I regularly do this and find it very amusing!
