Hi Andrew,

Your shots of the footy are ok, though as Drew has mentioned a shot of players competing for the ball add a bit of extra interest. Plus when you're capturing a header it looks better if you freeze it when the ball has just left the players head and try to show in your photograph where he's trying to head it as it helps to tell the story better. I think you could've used a wider aperture and a faster shutter speed and this would have helped you blur the background, as this would cutout the distractions on the far touchline and help concentrate the viewers attention on the action.

With regards to where you should post images for critique, there is a dedicated section for those threads within the forum.

I think you might beginning to get the hang of this now, Andrew. I like both of them, though I think they would both need sharpening a bit using the unsharp mask.

I think you just need to lighten the front bank a bit, as you've lost all the detail in the grass and it cuts the bottom third of the photograph clean off causing a distraction to your main subject.

I like the long exposure shot of the cars heading up and down the motorway. I think if you'd angled the camera up slightly and used a telephoto lens to zoom in a little closer to the bend in the road it might have just improved it a little, but a good effort nonetheless.

Yaay, praise :-)

I have improved it (i think). I loaded it into my gallery but am struggling to link it into here for some reason.

Yep, i managed to take a detour yesterday via Ashness Bridge and suprise view. I have some shots but as i dont have a ND filter of any sort my skies are pretty pathetic compared to the rest of the detail in the pictures. I tried doing something in photoshop yesterday quickly but they looked too fake.

I will post one or two up tonight for you to see.

Oh and scrambling about on the wet rocks was pretty stupid of me in my current condition.

That reminds me. I had a slight situation i wanted to discuss but i will start a new topic about it.
