Adobe Photoshop Elements 9

Can anyone please give their opinion on this software, much appreciated thanks in advance

offers pretty much everything most people could want but if your seriously into modifying your shots or want more control over wht your doing then PS is the only way to go .

Very few photographers really need 'full' Photoshop..... almost all editing techniques available in Photoshop are also available in Elements and most people won't miss anything. Don't forget that most PS plug-ins can be used in both programs while even some complex Actions (which must be written in PS) can be used in Elements.
Elements also includes a good catalog system - 'Organizer'.

A quick look at various Photoshop Forums (like on FLickr), show that most people are way out of their depth with it.

Agree with Geoff, Elements is ideal for all you want. I use Photoshop but only because I used it at work and had it from version 6.

oh so oldboy agrees with geoff but not me?? lol (only joking) basically thats what i was saying that PSE is more than enough for most people i suspect a handful of people here use anything in PS that is not in PSE.
