It's really quick to open the initial page (which by default is the Most recent tab) on Chrome and IE8 on Win 7, but the progress bars when I click on the other tabs are so slow, I'm wondering if it's actually stopped. Neither browser hangs though and I can click on other links to be taken to new pages.

Nick

Edit: Hmm, I went back to IE just to close it, and it did actually load the Most commented page, but then hung for a 4-5 minutes, before coming back and working fine again. Very odd.

Just uploaded some pictures. At my first attempt the site was so slow loading, I came out altogether and started again. This time no problems whatsoever.

I use Windows Vista and Internet Explorer.

Thanks for trying it out. What happens if you follow my instructions on my first post. I'll quote it below?

Just tried it again Mick, Opera 11. Reports 111 objects loaded, egg timer still going, stops there but doesn't freeze.

Sorry I didn't react sooner, been away from my laptop and only just found your post. (After I had to log in again!)

I did go to "Member Photos" and clicked, so far so good, but then I'm not sure what you mean by "the Macro Thumbnail." What or where is that? What does it look like?

I can click on the displayed photos, not 'most recent' obviously, as they are displayed first, but I tried 'most commented' and that worked normal, if rather slow.

Sorry to be so obtuse! Just let me know where exactly I have to click and I'll have a go.

The page loaded fine for me in Firefox and IE - and opened the most recent within the macro category by default.

Clicking the most recent tab also loaded the page fine for me, but it isn't pulling the most recent from the macro category, instead it's pulling the most recent from the " " category (empty value), and so instead of sorting the category I'm viewing (which is what's it's meant to do) it's grabbing results for all categories. Given the much higher volume of keyword results available this can take a bit of time if you don't have much memory available for the browser to render the page.

The penny suddenly dropped. Stupid I didn't see it earlier.
Tried the macro thumbnail; no problems. Tried 'most recent' and no problems there either.

This is exactly what Chrome is doing. Although if you then back page and click on 'macro' in the list, the macro thumbs do display.

Very odd - and yet another reason to stay well clear of the galleries on here.
