Whilst I would say the article offers nothing new or exciting or even much particular information, it does however have a huge morel message in there, in that if you are a decent photographer you can get and should get paid for all work you do.

Let just think about it for a second. People only try it on, because they hope they'll find someone who'll say yes. If everyone said no, then everyone would be getting paid.

The other important lesson to be understood is that there is zero kudos or respect to be gained from having work published unpaid or for very small amounts. It really does count for nothing, and on top of this having a credit in the vast majority of cases counts for nothing and does not result in paid work, just maybe a further offer for unpaid work.
