Looking for help with HDR

Have a look at this photo of St Mary's Lighthouse near Whitley Bay in the North East of England.



I used Photomatix to process 5 images.

I like the photo overall, but don't like the ghost line to the left of the lighthouse. Anyone know how to, when processing the shot, you can get rid off this?

I can't see the image .However I suspect it's a whitish halo.

What I do is save the original stack before tonemapping and then it's easier to process variations .

Try fiddling with luminance .gamma .white point and black point .but make tiny adjustments only .

It can also sometimes be sorted by careful retouching in photoshop.

got the image open .I would say a slight tweak on highlights ..knock them back .......could help.

I have to admit, I'm finding that the sky is too dark , and its a very dirty and unnatural blue? Were any filters used, or is that an effect of the HDR processing? If it was the same shade of blue as in the bottom right hand corner of the lighthouse, it would make a difference I think?
