I like it and its nice to see some light trails in black and white. You could also try having everything but the light trails in b/w and the light in colour, that might stand out too. I like the exposure, the buildings haven't been blown out, and the street lights seem correctly exposed to me too.

not seen one in B&W before, you've done a good job, nice range of tones & still some light in the sky

Yeah, I agree with the others here - works really well in black and white. As Karen said, you've done a good job with the exposure to not blow out the buildings.

The only thing I would change is I'd like to see the top of the nearest street light - it's a shame it's cut off- it looks a little headless considering this is a photo thats really all about the light in it.

I thought all photography was about light!

Cracking shot and well taken.

Thanks for the comments!

Karen I actually quite like the idea of having the light trails in colour, might try that!

Chris I never thought about that streetlight before, good point though. Trouble is where the shot was taken you couldn't see the top of it, there is an office block overhead that bridges the m8, and that restricted the view. I think the only way you could actually get it in frame would be to stand on the slip road that joins the motorway! Oh well!

Many thanks for the encouraging comments!
