I am appalled by the confrontational attitudes, rudeness and personal insults often seen on USA forums and, sadly, occassionally on UK forums - although the UK seems to suffer more from people who confuse personal opinion with fact and who, frankly, need to get out more.

Thankfully this site is mainly free of all that, which is why it is the only forum I have been interested in joining. Long may it remain that way.

BTW Your contributions are always interesting to read KeithT, so that is at least one good reason why you are here

Keyboard warriors as I believe they are known wreck so many internet forums and the American ones are astounding..I always read posts as if they were writtien with a smile, that usually does the trick..

It's been grumpy that keeps me happy.

The Old DCMag was more user friendly than this one, and not many were happy when that site was closed.

We used to have some wonderful 'Grumps' over there didn't we Sue. No-one took umbrage at a mischievious dig or a little fun poking and usually replied in kind. A little reminder from the moderator, the apltly named Jame de Vile, would usually be met with a polite apology from the miscreant, suggesting, in a roundabout way that anyone with the skin as thin as a fag paper should know better.
