Hi Tom, and thanks for your reply and comment on my images. The good news is working on skies is very simple and can be done straight onto a duplicate layer or by using layer masks. I seem to recall there being loads of tutorials on the net and in particular on Youtube that you can follow very easily. When I started with digital imaging 4 years ago I was determined to get the hang of post processing in the areas that interested me most, and still learn something new about it every day. Skies are one of those areas of interest for me and I work hard to get them looking how I want them to look, especially in print. I'm sure once you start to consider them more in the overall sculptor of an image you will also get excited about the way they can enhance your work. Good luck with it anyway. Your image is very nice by the way and I am sure all the good critique you have had will give you food for thought and improve your photographic journey.
