Missing Members

I hope to see some of the users from the old dcmag site that have yet to appear here, I really hope some upload the same photos as it would be good to see them again.

I hope to see Zuzana again, really love the colour in her work.

Agree Steve it would be great to see some of the old members back particularly KeithT and Alan Ingham who both always had great advice and we're always willing to offer help and guidance without patronising anyone and made me feel particularly welcome in my early days on DC MAG site so if either of you anonnymously pop in how about coming back guys it would be great to see you back with your pearls of wisdom which we're so helpful to me particularly...

I wouldn't be surprised if there are quite a few of the 'old crowd' watching but not logging on unless to make a post as the site doesn't remembewr to keep you logged in....

Some of the DCM members have emigrated to other sites and have settled there! Many were unhappy with some issues during PR beta test! Who knows, they could drift back.

I`m here too occasionally but not for as long and as often. That log in issue is a bit annoying - just went to reply to this and then had to go off thread and log in. Just not easy enough to attract / keep the casual observer. I`ll offer occasional comment and hope that the poll potential is extended to get back into the habit of a weekly challenge through the comp but may not be as active on the forums. I like the videos being accessible but not haveing to disable elements of my internet protection system to look.
Still seems a little cold and empty in here but it`s early days I suppose

Just another advertising led photo site with none of the things that made DCM uniquely annoying and compulsive at times. I'm sure it will flourish given time if they ever manage to overcome the glitches. There are always new people taking up the hobby and full of enthusiasm and a few here already who are trying to liven up the sterile atmosphere. Yes, i'm sure many take a look without logging in - just don't see anything worth adding to I suppose. Oh well must'nt be negative or I'll be told to ***** off!

SueAllen,

Although of course advertising is necessary to pay for this free site, we don't feel the site is "driven" by advertising. Our editorial copy is not biased towards any particular brand (with the obvious exception of PhotoPlus editorial) or company - if you feel you have spotted anything like this please let us know and we can look into this.

Thanks,

Amy

Any commercial site lives or dies by making ends meet - and as the site has it's own editor, deputy editor etc. it obviously needs plenty of revenue. Simple fact, not a criticism!
