Unhappy Help Cards

I am new to digital SLR and have a canon 450D and I dont get enough time due to my job to get to know my camera really well. I find that there are so many things to remember and I struggle with soaking it all up.
I was wondering is there any thing that the site could make available for printing off, so that I and others could make a laminated crib card for various topics of photography. Like guides of things to remember or shortened versions of the techniques pages. I think these would be really helpfull I would do it myself but I dont really know where to start and I might get it wrong.

Hi Jim K
The Magic lantern guides come with a couple of credit card sized quick reference guides in the back of the book.
I can recommend these books and there is one on the EOS 450/ rebel xsi as I have a copy, they cost about £10 and are far more useful than the instruction book.
I hope this is of help, most good book shops keep it.

Hi Jim.

Its the very last page of the book and it lightly laminated and folds into three, come to think of it my 450 came with a pocket guide also credit card sized, take a look in the box or in the instrction book.
Both give the basics on metering modes. white balance, overrides, exposure copensation, braketing, picture styles and also how to get a coloured tint in monochrome or give the efect as if you had a red green yellow or orange filter on lens. plus other odds and ends.

Hi Jim,

That's certainly an interesting idea and something we'll definitely bear in mind for the future.

Thanks for your suggestion, any more keep 'em coming!

Amy: are you suggesting that, Future Magazines might possibly consider publishing these ‘help / prompt’ Cards in your magazines?
