Oooh, what a conundrum Karen.

I suppose that the answer to that one partly lies in what you can imagine yourself shooting next.

I have the Sigma 10-20 f4-5.6 and absolutely love it for landscape work. It can give you some magical skies but you need to find foreground interest to fill the frame.

I have also just invested in some nd, nd grads and Lee Big Stopper. haven't had much opportunity to use them much because as soon as they arrived, so did the snow. Again, extremely useful for landscape work. Make sure that you get adapters for each of your lenses and you can use them whatever lens that you have on the camera.

If you intend to shoot portraits, then the flashgun and a flash trigger so that you can use it off camera is a good idea. If your budget stretches far enough, you could also buy some flash modifiers like the interfit strobies stuff to give you different effects.

Hope that these suggestions have given you some food for thought.

Need to tell us what you like taking photos of and how much you have to spend.
