Print out in tiff

Hello!

I recently had a thread were I asked a couple of questions, but it was one question that nobody answered me on.

Is it possibly to print out a 16 bit tiff file on my Canon mp640 and will the results get better with this than printing an 8 bit jpeg?

You may get some different answers here.... in theory, you've got more 'information' in a 16-bit file, so the print should be better.....
But.... while your printer at home can 'handle' a 16-bit file (which is actually a 48-bit colour), only a few of the top level commercial/professional printers can actually give you more than an 8-bit output and I don't think a single home printer can manage it.
