Whats the difference ?

I Have been looking at 2 Hoya Circ Polarising filters 77mm and am unable to see the difference between the 2 filters, other than one is claiming to let more light through ?

Hoya Pro 1 CP Filter & Hoya HD CP Filter.

Amazon advertises the Pro 1 at a much higher price than the HD.........Am I missing something or is one better than the other for some reason ?

it's usually to do with the quality of the glass & the amount of light dispersal, the higher the quality the less bouncing around the light will do when it comes through the filter (causing flare). Also I think the Pro 1 CP uses tougher glass & is less prone to damage.

I think the differeces are in the coatings. Why not check out both at the Hoya web site?
