I'm no expert but I like this. A lovely intimate shot. I like the contrast between the infocus baby's hand and the out of focus adult hand. John.

I like it.

I suspect your baby was a little overdue [because of the flaky skin] and I really like the fact that you haven't photoshopped that out.

Congratulations on your new liitle one!

Congratulations.

Nice DOF. As the title suggests 'holding hands' a bit more of the adult hand in the frame perhaps.

I agree with beauxreflects, Nice DOF. Good lighting, although the bright section below the baby's hand could benefit with a bit of 'burning' to tone it down a notch.

Congratulations on the new arrival!

Phil

Second attempt at the post processing for this photo darkened the lower portion of the photo so as to not distract the eye. Just downloaded Lightroom 3 and used it to reduce the noise. Then used PS5 raw editor to reduce the grain so as to get a sharper image from a relatively high ISO of 3200.

Hi Ramelzer, out of the 2 images I prefer the 2nd one you have taken the points mentioned on board and corrected them ,making a better and stronger image without the distracting highlight at the bottom of the image well done
