I'm so glad you started this thread Mark. I too am looking at an additonal flashgun for my D90. I currently have the Metz 58 AF-1. I had considered a Metz 36 together with Hahnel wireless transmitters/receivers. Any suggestions as to what would make a good slave??

They look OK & they work, won't get a chance to use them in action for a little while though.
Look forward to what you have to say about them, Like are they ok with theTTL metering on the canon, and the cost in Pounds

Mark,

they're not TTL flashguns, they're manual so they won't work with TTL metering, they will however slave to the TTL flashguns & have 4 methods to fire them (hotshoe, cable, slave & TTL slave - ignores the preflash of TTL)

They cost 139 Euros which is about £118 plus about 15 Euros postage from Holland & arrived within 3 days. I got them as they had some great reports on the Strobist website. Was considering the Yongnuo 560s but went with Lumopro instead. They were designed by a company who collaborated with David Hobby of the Strobist site & other community members.

er, not sure to be honest.

I always use www.xe.com & do an online conversion & use that as a guide. Of course, being Europe you don't get hit with VAT as you pay it to the Netherlands & at 3 days delivery that matches or betters some UK suppliers.
