Mark, it's a robin, not a turkey.

Totally snowed in today! First time I've not left the house in over a year! Unfortunately I wanted to take the opportunity to set up a bird shoot but my wife had myriad jobs lined up for me so it'll have to be a Sunday shoot for me again and maybe something to do with my traditional role of "monster"

I’d thought of the ideal shot for this weekend competition, there is always the local Salvation Army band playing in the local town at this time of year. Off I went into town armed with my camera, not a sight or a sound of them anywhere - mmmmmmm, thinking cap on again.
This morning I got up early (before the sun) to go and capture one of the local weirs on the River Trent which I thought the sun would come up from behind, it was damn cold (-9). Well the weir was there but no sunrise, a large bank of cloud came in before the sun came up so no orange glow, my entry is one of the first I shot after getting there.

With two ideas this week. The sound of the chainsaw and the sweeter sound of a Sax

I think I will go for the second, as I like all the Natural lighting, giving the impression of warmth spilling from the sax.

A single shot, taken from a series done this morning (thanks for the band idea Mike ), tweaked in curves and skewd for effect to accentuate compositional lines and the sense of freedom as the notes echo in the trees.
