Funnily enough Mark, I was looking at them earlier and wondering the same. At £69 they could be worth a punt.

In a word .Don't .Awful build quality .Colour casts and Cutter even though they say dedicated to EOS 50 d it is not ...........save and get another cheaper canon that you can then use as a slave to the 580 .

Believe me I tried using duel flash with it and it does not sync obviously because of the way the 580 triggers using it's preflash.

Passed it on to my partner who has not bothered using it .

Thanks Matt, as I say, I was considering buying one too. Maybe will save up for the SB400.

Yup. However, I hadn't run the idea past the wife so I may have run into a few problems.

are you after a dedicated flash or one just to use off camera in manual?

Reason I asked is because I have been researching flashguns this week & just ordered two to go with my 580 EXIIs.

I plumped for 2 of these - http://www.lumopro.com/product.php?id=25 - ordered from Holland as I couldn't find anywhere in the UK selling them.

Interesting Garry, let us know how you get on with them.

For me, it will be to use off camera as I already have an SB600 and I can see the need for another flash gun.

Funnily enough, after typing the above I went into the house to find the Post Office delivered them at 8pm tonight, must be working overtime.

They look OK & they work, won't get a chance to use them in action for a little while though.
