Back in the days when the DCM forum existed it was nothing for some photographers to rack up a total of more than 2000 comments on their pictures in the gallery. I think that was because viewers could see them clearly and people were more selective in what they posted.

Digital photography has taken off in a big way, and I think, a lot of 'new' photographers (this includes me) are keen to show/share their photos. Even though I try to be selective when posting photos on line, I know (now; not when I posted them) there are quite a few that should not really be there. Deleting them is a quite laborious process though, so I often can't be bothered.
