Hey chirs! all these lovely comments and only Andy has given me a star rating, perhaps if we want to be critiqued we should also ask for a rating, what do you think ?
I have done the same thing , commented on a photo how good it was but not give a rating, I think I will in future

It is a way to go Mark, at least it sort of ties things all together.

I'm still surprised by the number of 5 star ratings in the galleries that never seem to be chosen for POTD. It is as if by taking part in the forum by displaying an image there first, the chance of POTD is deminished!

I could of course be proved wrong, but since taking part on a regular basis I do not think I have noticed any POTD chosen from the weekend competition or other forum threads.

You are right Mark. Never gave it a thought. On my way now.

It was something that I hadn't thought of. I am a member of a number of forums and regularly rate my contacts pics but, as I don't often visit the critique sections, it just didn't cross my mind. I know that the gallery's aren't that easy to navigate and are not well frequented on any of the forums but, if you take the time to comment in the critique section, it does seem logical to rate the pic too. (Makes note to self to do so in future).

Two great shots I like the warm tones in the first shot. The impression of movement gained in the foreground and the sharpness of the background of the second shot is really clever. John (Baffled).

I must admit, I don't visit the gallery very often. The times I have visited I've not found it easy to navigate around.
Perhaps if there was a way to set a group, or be able to 'follow' members updates it would help...
