I know what you mean KeithT, if these are the pick of the bunch for the future of UK business, you can see why the economy is in such a bad state! But are they the best 'business' people - or those picked for the best potential viewing figures? A bit like Big Brother in suits - a clever one, a working class one, a posh one, a geezer, a blond with brains (no offense intended ladies, I'm married to a very clever blonde who holds a very high position in a multi-national - or at least did until our little man arrived). It does seem to me that a lot of them are picked as they will clash with others making 'better' viewing. Their idea of managing and looking good is to use phrases that they've obviously read somewhere in the vain attempt it will make them look good.

I only watch it because I quite like Lord Sugar and Nick - and bring back Margaret and it makes me think I'm doing a better job at work!

I watch it because I like to moan about the idiots taking part...lol I learnt my business skills like sir Alan, on the street, although not quite as successful as he was at it. A lot of good business comes from instinct. The scientists who design the courses for business school have tried to formulise good business sense, but it isn't about degrees and BMA's, it's about having gut feelings and acting on them. That can't be taught. It comes from a hunger to succeed.

Not all blondes are dumb. I know plenty who could run rings round me. Mind you, most women can and do.

I suspect it isn't scientists that designed these course, its semi-succesful business people. Not quite succesfull enough to make a mint, but enough for their names to be known...
