Hi I've been sitting on the wings for quite a while now, but have finally decided to post some pictures

but I find the process rather slow here, so not many yet.

I'm particularly interested in making new friends and geting honest critiques of my work, because I believe you can't develop if your not aware of your errors. I tend to leave comments / feedback on that basis too, so if I say something negative about a photo I'm trying to help the author improve by making them aware of the problem; please don't take offence.

If you comment on my work I will try to comment on yours as well.

You could try and post photos in specific categories like the landscape, wildlife, action etc (find these at the bottom of the forums homepage) or you could post an image in the Photo Critique thread. It's a good idea to ask for comments/critique to get a response from other users, when you post the photos into any threads.

Hi and welcome srumsrus. As stormsong says you might struggle for comment unless you post to threads asking for it as the slow gallery process you describe seems to have reduced the amount of traffic and coment inon galleries here. I have started just keeping weekend comp entries on here now and if you are looking for a different challenge making you think about your shots I`d recommend getting involved when you can each weekend. Great fun and quite a few new people there recently.

Had a quick glance at your flickr gallery and some cracking shots there. I see you`ve got some model shots and some great protraits adn flower shots. My flickr stream is highlighted below and happy to do reciprocal commenting on there for speed sake if you want to add any contacts but up to you.
