Good - one way to remove the coloured fringing (assuming you're using an editing program) is to carefully select the areas where the fringing occurs - not easy when it's just a narrow strip but the lasso tool usually does it - and then desaturate that particular fringe colour (often blue/magenta) by using a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer and, choosing the appropriate colours from the dropdown box, desaturating and/or lightening.
