D3000 and 18-55mm vr lens problem

I've owned my D3000 for nearly a year now, and i'm not sure if i have a problem with the vibration reduction in my 18-55 lens. When i take a photo the camera takes the photo ok, but the image that i see through the view finder moves after the photo has been taken. If i turn of the VR then the problem goes away.

I don't remember this happening when i first bought the camera package.

Can anyone offer any help or advice please??

Regards

Matt

If the image only moves in the viewfinder after you have fired the shutter, I suspect that this will be movement on your behalf at that stage. If the image that appears on your computer screen is sharp, then I think the VR is doing its job.

This is normal. What you are seeing is the group of elements that moves to reduce shake 'parking' itself. It happens when you remove power from the lens, a half-press & release of the shutter button will do it as well. You probably just didn't notice it before.

Yeah, thats normal. Its basically the VR turning off and the image not being stablised any more...
