confirmation emails

hi guys, just a quick question about forum emails... i know the forum has my correct email address as i had an email when i signed up. but for some reason i dont get emails when someone replies to a forum thread im subscibed to. im a member on sister forum bikeradar, several other forums including one i run myself and dont have issues with any of them. just photoradar, is there a setting that ive missed or doesnt the forum send emails? i have send instant email notification set in my account and still nothing

Yeah you have to adjust the settings in your user control panel to "instant email notification", even though you're subscribed to the thread.

nope, although im using windows 7 i still have vistas 'windows mail' program running as i dont like the windows live that is supposed to run on 7... and theres no spam filter

I have the same problem with not recieving emails?

the wierd thing is, mine have started working... no idea why unless a mod has seen this post but ive had a few this afternoon

As mods, we can't do that.

It's worth bearing in mind that you will only get e-mails for threads which are marked as read, even if you're set to instant e-mail notifications. After that, you won't get any more e-mails about that thread until you've either viewed it again or manually marked it as read.
For example, you post in a thread. You're automatically subscribed and, as soon as someone else posts, you get an e-mjail notification. You will not get another notification about that thread until you've marked that thread as read again.

Is that the problem you're having?

thanks for the clarification chris, i guessed that may be the case with single emails as not all forums send an emeail every time, although i use phpbb on mine which does. but my problem was after my email when i signed up i didnt get any emails at all until yesterday afternoon
