Hi Karen,

I can confirm that hi-res emails haven't been sent out yet.

Don't panic!

Thanks,

Amy

P.S. Did you see this yet: http://www.photoradar.com/news/story...otos#ad-image8

last year I've been asked to send the hi-res image of a picture of mine and I was so honoured and excited !!! ... but then the delusion has been indeed huge because I was not present in the shorlist ...
I understood that when they ask for the hi-res, they still run a further selection ...

Anyway, I'm still happy because it has anyway been a great achievement for me ...

Bye,
Diego

Can I ask about clarification on the process going forward?

Will there be an announcement stating that the high-res image requests have all been sent out once they have?

If these high-res requests have not been sent out as of yesterday, how can the short list be announced on Oct. 8th (approx. 8 days from now) if the rules state (#7 - Judging) those who are requested to provide high-res files have 14 days to do so?

Is it safe to assume if you do not receive a request for a high-res image, that you are out and that images (not short-listed) could be entered in other competitions? (there is a rule that says you cannot enter any images into this competition entered into other national competitions with 500+ other entries)

Hi Andrew,

The high-res images are not being requested to compile the shortlist, so the email requests have not been sent out yet.

One the shortlist is released, anybody that is not on it is then discounted from the competition and can do what they wish with their entered images.

I hope that clears things up a little, if you have any further questions please do let me know.

Thanks,

Amy

"The high-res images are not being requested to compile the shortlist, so the email requests have not been sent out yet."

I suppose the shortlist could be shorter in the end, as there might be high res pix that don't come up to the required standards.

It makes more sense than having hundreds of people sending high-res back and to. You can view the images larger anyway on the site so it must give an idea of the quality of the shot prior to selection.
