Polarizing Filters

Has anyone any recommendations for Polarizing filters. Are screw-in filters better for lenses or would anyone recommend a system like the Cokin.
I have a Nikon D90 and a D50, plus various lenses.

A good quality screw-in Polariser is certainly the best bet.... but they're not cheap and you mention 'various lenses'..... so you'd need one for each filter size! Hoya and B&W make good ones - there are others.

Of course, you'll probably see the use of more filters gradually and then you may wish you'd gone for a square system, like Cokin (which aren't all that bad but not the best). Many people recommend Lee Filters for better quality - not cheap but probably the best value/quality combo.

Thanks Geoff. Have decided to go for the screw in type as I have just discovered that I already own a couple. Don't even remember buying them but hey ho...

Buy a polariser for the size of your largest lens filter thread and then get a a set of cheap step up rings for all your other lenses and thus use one polarsiing filter on all lenses
