New Sony Camera Rumour

New rumour of a life changing, fantastic, amazing, will do everything camera from sony possibly to be announced.

Link here

Dpreview forums are talking alot about it, seems the new A55 or A33 with a mirror-less system. Seems to have a mixed response, those who are waiting for video with phase AF and those who want the A7xx.

Be interesting to see what happens and what is going to happen. some of my favourite comments from the comments are 3D capability and touch screen!

Could be true? If it is hope they have sorted out the ISO issues at the high-end numbers e.g. 3200/6400

If the rumour mill is correct (and it often is) then it's not a mirrorless camera, it's the return of the pellicle mirror. This would make sense given the reasons Sony have always given for not putting video modes on their SLRs yet.

Grainy images at ISO 3200/6400 can make images which you can not use.

Yeah, but thats no different to any other camera that costs less than £1000.

This is from an EOS 50D at ISO 6400

This is from a Pentax K20D at ISO 6400

This is from a Nikon D300s at ISO 6400

Even the mighty Canon EOS 7D isn't immune from noise at ISO 6400

I don't think you can expect miracles. These are all cleaner and less grainy than ISO 1600 film (although the chroma noise is different, obviously). Sony aren't lagging behind in noise reduction at the moment.

In fact, Sony have released more cameras, lenses and new technology in the past 12-18 months than any other mainstream DSLR maker I can think of. Frankly, at the moment they're putting Canon & Nikon to shame in many respects.

Maybe Sony are now matching Canon/Nikon in the optical department. Come on Sony put them to shame!!

Looks fairly similar to what has been expected. Only thing I don't get? 1080i video. Why?
