Interesting new software

For those of you into this sort of thing, Oloneo software have a rather fancy bit of software available for beta testing - which, of course, means it's free.

PhotoEnginge is primarily for HDR work, which it does in "real-time" and at full resolution but you can do some interesting other things as well. I particularly like the "re-light" feature which could be a real bonus for any interior photographers. You shoot the same scene (say the inside of a room) with one light on, then switch that light off and turn on the next light and re-shoot. In an HDR-like way you can then merge the images and turn each light on and off in the software... A demo is on youtube

You can download the beta version of the program (and get more information) here

Impressive - like 'painting with light'.... I downloaded it and will investigate further tomorrow. Thanks, Chris.

It looks interesting Chris, though I note the beta download expires in October 2010

I have to wonder if the files you save in the program are incrypted in any way, so that you have to buy the software! - Also spotted a note that implied usage was for non commercial purpose only during beta stage, unless I misread; And would assume you could only legally sell prints processed with the software after you have paid for the software (And as far as I can see, there is no indication of the likely price that the software program would cost on the link you provided).
