Hello from Robert of Yorkshire

Hi Guys.
This is a hello from me and from Yorkshire.
About me::
60 somthing and now retired.
I have been taken pictures for..for.. for,, a number of years now.
My first camera was a Halina Hanimax 35mm. Wow
Photography has always been a hobby for me.
I used to process all my own work.
B&W, colour trans, Cibachrome. colour prints.
Then along came digital... thank goodness.
I used to have a monster carry all bag stuffed with lenses, filters, flashes etc:
I took the decision to dump the lot and go digital but not DSLR. No way was I going back to humping that lot around!
I must say though on several occasion I have been tempted by Nikons.
I have had several digitals with my current being the Panasonic DMC-TZ3
The next day or two should see the arrival of a Panasonic DMC-FZ38.
I use Photoshop and other packages for post processing.
Thats me in a nutshell.
Hope you except me into the forum and I can contribute to the betterment of us all
capnet (Robert)

Hi Robert, I am also new to the forum and like yourself about the same age.
I started with a Yashiscamat two and a quater square camera. Had numerous film cameras and again like yourself, spent hours and hours, in the darkroom, developing and printing, on a GNOME enlarger, do you remember them ?

I moved onto to the digital age about four years ago, i bought a Nikon D200, but now i have gone over to Canon and have a Canon 7D also have a Canon G10, also still have my 30 year old Canon A1 with MB motordrive, which all still work perfectly, and still produce good shots.

Good to see you here Robert, hope you enjoy it as much as i am
