Smile Help Needed Sony 75-300mm

Hi All,

I am just curious on what price I would be able to get for my Sony 75-300mm lens. It was new when I bought it, I have used it loads of times, excellent condition, no marks or scratches on the glass. I am curious because nearly every photo I take has a very bad purple line round it. e.g. on white subjects such as ducks .etc this looks like very bad purple fringing or CA Chromatic Aberration.
I will sell this lens once I invest in the G version.

Thanks for replies,

Is it this one?

Where are you planning on selling it? If it's part exchange I wouldn't expect more than £50.

Yes that's the one. I'm not planning on selling it at the moment. But will probably do so when I have enough money to get the Sony 70-300mm G version.
If I would only get £50 part exchange then what a rip that is. Why is it nearly priced £200 if you lose around 3/4 of the price.

You'd get more if you sold it privately. Its always the way though, especially with entry level kit. Don't forget, £200 is very cheap for a long lens. However, there is always a market for that sort of kit so I'd bung it on eBay - there are always plenty of new photographers that want to get their hands on cheap kit. You might even get £100 that way.
