Of all the cameras so far, it's the only one I actually would want to own myself.

Bag wise, Kata are good. You won't need such a large bag. You might be best off taking your camera (when you get it) to a camera shop and just trying to fit it into a load of different cases. That way you can be sure it'll fit.
Ah ok, no worries! Thanks so much for the help. I've ended up going for the ZS3/ T27 as was actually £10 cheaper than the SX200 and from review seemed to be marginally better in most aspects.

Case wise: I've read that a T27 fits perfectly in a: Pelican 1010 Microcase

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pelican-Micr...8514267&sr=1-4

This would seem rather suitable for India as its humid and dusty, or is this case overkill? (Yet only £15 which is comparable to the Kata)

The TZ7 was the market leader until it was replaced a few months ago. It's replacement is now the market leader.

The Peli case seems like overkill but, why not? So long as it's got room in it for spare memory cards etc. There are literally hundreds of cases that the TZ7 will fit in.
