At present you can not insert Pictures in to threads you have to upload them to the web first (in your gallery but it aint easy lol) then insert just the URL of the picture
hope this helps

If you are using I8 make sure it is not blocking the pop up.

You can also use the image button to insert a image from your own website if you choose not to use the PR gallery like so.

How did that help the OP with his problem? Maybe he doesn't have a web-site.

Tom

You can paste an image from your gallery into a thread by doing this.

1. Get the image location by selecting your image in the gallery and right-click on the magnifying glass icon at top right. There should be an option like 'Copy image location'

2. In the new thread select the postcard icon (looks like mountains) and when asked for the image location right-click again and 'Paste' the location in.

I got the image location of one of your images

http://www.photoradar.com/files/imag...-district.jpg?

and this is what happens when you paste it in the message.

The problem is that your image is 2500 pixels wide (lets hope the forum software re-sizes it). Phew, it did.

And maybe he does.

Butl as the OP did not state where he was trying to post them from and someone had already offered advise how to do it from the PR gallery (which has already been pointed out is pain to upload to) then all I was doing was pointing out a alternative he may not have known about. But I guess being helpful is the perogative of the self appointed.

Norman, I don't think it's fair to slam Paul for trying to help, he merely pointed out that you can insert a image from any location as long as it's on the web somewhere.

To be honest, unless we physically checked to see if Tom had any images in the PR gallery we wouldn't have known that either.

(And slightly off topic) One thing that still baffles me about this site is why it lets you upload pics of that size to the gallery. What's the point if I can only view the full size pic in four pieces by scrolling around.

File size limit is still way too big, and image size limit is the same. Total waste of server space, and slows everything down to crawl. It's about time the admins put in some restrictions, and actually teach people to optimise images for web use again.

a place iv'e been using for some time is photobucket which allows you to choose the size of image you want displayed regardless of original upload size for example if the original photo is uncropped or still the original size straight out of the camera photobucket will resize it to 640 x 480 , 800 x 600 etc ( whatever you choose ) when you have uploaded it.
this can be handy if you don't want to mess about resizing everything just for displaying on the web creating 2 or sometimes 3 different sized images of the same thing

and obviously from photobucket i can then use the image links to display on forums like this

i assume most photo hosting sites have a similar feature but i find photobucket very easy to use
