will 50d lens' fit eos 1d mkiii? answers on a postcard

Hi, I have been given the chance to buy a 1D MKIII at a really reasonable price but i cant afford to upgrade the lns' as well (for a whle anyway). Wll the lens (17-200 kit) and EFS 60mm macro fit?

Any help would be appreciated.

I am in australia and need to travel a long way to get the camera.

Cheers,

Graham

You can't mount EF-S lenses on a full frame body. They won't work.

Nor the APS-H format that the 1DMKIII is either. (1.3 crop, rather than the 1.6 of the 50D)

EF-S lens (Or the equivalent 3rd party) do not work on the MkIII - Some 3rd party ones physically fit - but you will get bad vinyetting.
