canon speedlight 580ex11

Hi everyone , just aquired the canon speedlight, and i am a little manual phobic, could anyone give me any ilustrations on or settings for the multi strobic effect not sure what I am doing or trying to acheive with this effect , even after reading the manual ! calculating shutter speed with strobotic flash.

Funny enough a chap I worked with was discussing how cool this feature was and I stumbled across it at the weekend, I just tend to use my 580 as a straight forward flash so have not used this feature, I have to say it does look worth a play.

ANyway I am not sure if it helps but I found this not a lot of info but may get you started.

Thanks wavemachine it goes a great way to help me understand this feature so will attempt to give it a go . If you are successful with an image Please post it and I will do the same.

I wonder what other features it has that we are not aware of !!!!!
