Below: ogga's splash. I was surprised that this only got the one vote. It's just perfect apart from the missing bit of the circle of ripples at the bottom. Kudos ogga.

Jinky, you'll just have to go back to Africa and try again
Thanks for the review I thought it was dark especially when I got to work and saw it through a different monitor!

Great shot from you btw love the lighting and you need to view if full size to capture the water droplets. Excellent image!

Above: M Pelley Another superb capture, lovely colours and the reflections in the sea are great.

Congratulations Sie on a good win and thank you for the vote Matt.

Above, Old Salty's Pacific Ocean; Terrific sunset, (although as it is hard to ascertain when not actually being there, perhaps a faster shot may have lifted the water element with a little sparkle).

Below, MPelly's Sunset Water; A super crisp image and good composition, nice one.

Thanks for your comments Mark. I guess it's my biggest dilemma and I always ponder on whether to record a view as faithfully as possible, or to tweak an image to pretty expectations. I took a series of shots as the sun rose (3 are in my gallery) and as the light intensity increased, mist dispersed the 'washy', mist's effect changed. Perhaps I should have entered one of the other shots.

I really liked the atmosphere in it Andy .I got a shot in Devon that is similar but for a different reason it's almost momochromatic because of sea mist and spray.

Thanks Matt, I'm just waiting for another similar morning to try different angles in the same meadows.

Congrats SieSmith a worthy winner.

As I made a complete hash and forgot to post my entry having climbed up a great big hill to get I will compensate myself by reviewing the two I liked best out of all the other first class entries.

MPelley

Terrific picture and nice colours, I and it is only my opinion would have preferred a slightly more acute angle to bring in the whole pier and take up a bit of the void at the left. Still it is a cracking shot.

SieSmith

This one got my vote nice clear shot & composition, having kept fish for nine years I know how hard it can be to keep a tank that clean.

Unfortunately I made another boob and missed out Gladys picture and it was really good worth taking a look at.
