Printers are almost as hard to choose as cameras, and when you think about it as important to the end result if you want to print your work.

I think its time DCM gave us a much clearer indication of what to buy and more importantly what not to buy as there is nothing worse than wasting money on a duffer.

Quality of output is most important and cost per print a close second for me, but speed of output and memory card and connectivity can make the printer more desirable for others.

So c'mon team do some tests for us, I'm sure the manufacturers will be more than happy to give you some kit to play with .

Hi Bob,

The previous issue of DCM (issue 96) had a group test of budget A4 printers, which the Canon PIXMA MP640 (£150) came out top with a score of 95% and getting 5/5 for print quality.... hope that helps!
