Nikon Problems

Has anyone had any problems with the D300 not focusing? Mine has been playing up with my 400mm Nikkor f2.8 VR Lens.

I have had to return them both to Nikon UK this morning in the hope they can resolve the problem i go away to Lesvos in early May, so hope it gets put right by then the lens is only 8 months old and the camera is just 7 months old.

Its very strange for nikon focusing trouble. I wonder are you useing the right nikkor lense, I know it sounds silly. I also wonder if it is the right one are all the auto thingies swiched on

Yes it is the right Lens .

It sounds werd that the lenes dose not work on the camera that it was made for. the only thing I can think of is there is sume thing wrong with the conections between the camera and the lenese A.F. moters I saw a simeler problem with a DVD switch

What sort of "not focusing" are we talking about?

No AF activity at all or not getting a focus lock?

Yeah, I also experienced focusing problem with my Nikon cam at first use. But with the right lens, this issue has now been resolved.
