Canon 430EXII vs. Nissin Di886 Pro

I know that there is a similar previous post, but I almost parted with the dough for the Nissin today on Amazon after reading this months magazine review. What stopped me was the rave 5 star reviews on the Canon 430EXII. In fact every forum I have read seems to repeat this.

Having a Canon flash on a Canon camera makes sense to me, but when I compare the reviews the Nissin seems to have so much more, which is reflected in the DCM score 92% for the Nissin vs 80% for the Canon. What I can't work out is whether all those extra things are actually things I will use? I also note the nissin recycle time is almost double that of the Canon. Surely that has got to be annoying at around 5 seconds??

Somebody please put me out of my misery and put a case forward for which flash and why. There is ony £10 in it, so money is not the issue.

Thanks in advance.

If the recycle time is 5 seconds, you will get fed up very quickly - 2 seconds is a long time when your snapping!

Go Canon.

Canon without a shadow of a doubt for the reasons I said on the other thread.Look in my gallery at the water drop photo's that was with a canon flash at 1/4 power and the motordrive on.The gun kept up .Waiting 2 seconds for a flash to recharge I would have been there all day.

If you can afford it go for Canon, you will only end up getting the Canon in 6 Months time when you realize how long 5 seconds is.
