I've got the Quantum Turbo C which can be used for camera or flash, but you need to factor in the cost of a connector. It's attached to the base of the camera via the tripod attachment and you can still fix to a tripod.

I had a quantum and i sold it, My friend had a quantum and he sold his. Hhhmm they are a lot of buck for what they are. I work for the national newspapers and often used it for court and paping people and to be honest it was good, But i have found these battery's which you can only get in America and they are amazing. if you can get them its well worth it they are called NiZn rechargeable batterys.

Quantum's are good but a lot of money, i was shooting using my 1d's and 580 flashgun's i popped the flash tube on one of my 580's and it cost 100 quid to get fixed. The cables cost a lot and are rather fragile. They are heavy and cumbersome. I often would use 2 camera's both with flashguns and a quantum, The cables are a pain in the neck.

You wont be disappointed if you get one, but its a lot of money to spend, i can't recommend the NiZn battery's enough, head over to amazon and get some on order!

Good Luck.
