according to the exif you were shooting at ISO1000 which would give some noise, at first I did not see that much noise but after filtering it through Imagenomic I could see a big difference.

Jim.

I know, the highlights dont half blow out on those chrome poles too, but the creative possibilities of the patterns left by swirling tassles.....................

It is a cracking shot Mark, hope you can recreate it to your satisfaction.
I have lost count how many times I have done the same thing, never had
any trouble with the poles though.

This has happen a hundred times to me, so I like to remind myself by noting down what iso I am using on the back of my hand or on my arm when shooting. Once when I has come back from a shoot a guy in a cafe asked me if I had been in a concentration camp because it looked like a tattoo. I was really confused by this and said I'm not that old! But then he said about the numbers on my hand looking like a tattoo, so it made sense. We were both embarrassed I think because its a taboo. Now I do the same, and write the numbers down but I wear those disposible gloves so it doesn't say there, you can get them from morrissons and most other places.
