Apologies from me too for the radio silence. Despite people's concerns, we are working on the many bugs you've all reported, as well as readying other parts of the site - which has taken up all of my time recently. I know it doesn't feel like things are changing, but after speaking to our developers, and catching a glimpse at our staging server, I promise that many of our (and your) concerns are being addressed. I don't have access to specifics at the moment, as I'm writing this at home, but I'll sort out a proper update tomorrow of what's changing.

Yeah Thomas - you're at about 4:1 for getting sacked when this whole thing collapses.

You need to remember phase 4 - reward the uninvolved. I'd be keeping away from publicity right now because as my Japanese bosses used to remind me "the nail that sticks up is hammered down". In a project that's going badly wrong you want your boss to forget you even exist.
