This is all useful information Forseti and jinky, I'll mention this to our technical team and see if they can think why this might have been.

Digital Camera was built on a completely different system, but it's odd that you were able to watch the videos before but not now.

Very puzzling, sorry about this!

Lightbulb Don't be puzzled !?!?!

Amy and others that may be puzzled.

Those with video playing problems should make certain they have ALL updated codecs installed on their sytems - one of the many sites to download these "needed" software fixes can be found using the following link.

If after doing this - still no joy - then bin your current virus checker and install one that works - without interfering with streaming video - only a suggestion - it worked for me - when I had similar problems.

Brilliant advice as usual Gil. Your assumption is of course that those of us having these problems ALL have outdated codecs on our machines and that our virus checkers are somewhat inferior. If you'd have read through all the posts, especially mine and jinkies you'd perhaps have noticed that we have tried disabling our virus checkers (against good practise) to no avail and as I personally do as much video editing as I do stills photography let me assure you that I've most probably got more codecs, and up to date one's at that, on my machine than you've ever heard off. I say that pretty much tongue in cheek of course, but if it's alright with you I'll just carry on 'being somewhat puzzled'.

Do though allow me to offer you a suggestion, and that is to read posts thoroughly before offering your own.

It is Gil Ritchie you are talking to here - not - "God Forbid" !?!?! - Oldboy.

I may NOT read and digest every word written in these forums - but I do know what I am talking about.

It is GOOD advice re codec updates - try it and see - rather than getting all hot under the collar.

If I offended your choice of anti virus software - never my intention - I use FREE Avast - previously used the expensive and memory consuming Norton - but recently changed - and for the better may I hasten to add.

Keep being puzzled - by all means - the exercise is good for the brain.

PS - Having read THIS thread thoroughly - again - in case I may have missed the mention of "codecs" somewhere..

No - I seem to have been the first and only person to have suggested this possible "codec" fix.

But as previously stated - only a suggestion - but if you wanna stay in the dark.

I have also tried all updated versions of the more popular browsers - viz - IE8/Opera10/Firefox3.5/ Google Chrome - and they all work perfectly with the videos on this site - and all with my rather old but "codec updated" - WindowsXP system - maybe I was just born lucky - who knows - and indeed - who cares.

Can another "geek" take over please - I am getting rather bored now.

Any further updates on this Amy - it's now February 2010? Another option of course would be to make these videos downloadable and that would cure everybody's problems in an instant.
