Football: 1st Attempt

I took my 1st load of images at a local football match today here's an example:

Canon 40D Lens EF 70-200 F2.8L IS USM
Used Shutter priority TV 1/750 AV 4.5 ISO 400 Focal length 135mm

Looks like it smarted a bit " ouch", well caught pavman split second timing, great colours and interesting shots.

Thanks for you comments folks Sunday Park football not easy to photograph as trying to predict where the ball will go next was not easy.
I will take a small stool with me next time as I shot standing up or low crouching at times hand holding the camera/lens also think getting lower down will get better angle as I note when I took images of headers
here is an example, if I was lower down with a bit of foreground it show how high the guys jumped to head the ball


Loads to work to be done to get the right action shots! Cheers Peter

I know what you mean about the stool. In the Great Run season I cover the road races in my region and learned after the first two that a stool, monopod and flask of tea or coffee were more important than my camera gear - especially in the rain of Manchester!
