Potd

Today's POTD, Anglia Square by Polaroidsky, must be one of the best since this new site was launched. If you haven't already taken a look, do so now before it disappears. A superb example of Street/Documentary photography that you'll see anywhere.

If you look long enough it will get the old grey matter working overtime wondering what is going on and engendering all sorts of stories in your imagination. That's what photography is all about for me.

Question Nothing wrong with POTD !?!?!

But today's example - not for me - sorry - but that's why we all are different I suppose - each to his/her own - my "old grey matter" has never worked so hard - but still - can't get anything from the image - maybe I have enough stories of mystery and imagination already in there - no room for more "documentary" clutter - the image does have "originality" which I always try to admire - but that's the only positive thing I can say about it - my comment on the photo - says it all for me.

PS - Nothing wrong with POTD in general - at least it proves the admin are trying to cater for ALL photographic tastes - and quite successfully by the looks of things.

PPS - And as has been said - "take a look now before it disappears" - it will soon - only lasts 24hrs - but that is another good thing about the new site and its POTD.

Is there no right of reply on these forums? I notice that Polaroidsky's response to G Richie's somewhat confused criticism has been removed. Why?

I usually look and sometimes comment on POTD if it hits the spot as far as I'm concerned and today looking at the comments on today's POTD, why do I get the feeling that there is a new objective for the staff of Pradar to get more comments made on the POTD.

All hands to the pumps lads, and lasses!
